A manufacturing business came to Geekland IT after slow support and equipment orders, confusing invoices, and IT work that stayed reactive.

the daily scramble.
Geekland IT supports your employees, maintains and monitors your computers, and manages account, email, and network security. Your staff have one place to ask for help, and your office has someone responsible for ongoing upkeep.

Geekland IT is based in Lakeville and provides managed IT services for Twin Cities businesses, including Lakeville, Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, Farmington, Bloomington, Minneapolis, and Saint Paul.
Your everyday IT
Managed IT services for
Twin Cities businesses.
Geekland IT is a veteran-owned managed service provider (MSP) for Twin Cities businesses with about 10-100 IT users. We provide outsourced IT support, computer maintenance and monitoring, and security, with services defined in your written plan.
CLIENT STORY
From reactive support
to managed IT.
Geekland IT put proactive monitoring and security services in place, simplified the invoice, and sped up hardware ordering and laptop deployment. This client's plan includes Microsoft 365 licensing and backups.
The business has clearer billing and faster support. It has had issues resolved within the same day, including some within the same hour, and new equipment reaches employees sooner.
MANAGED IT COVERAGE
What your managed IT
plan can cover.
The services below are available through managed IT. Your written proposal identifies which services are included for your business and what they cost.
Employee support
Your staff get business-hours help through the Client portal, email, phone, and remote sessions, and 24/7 emergency on-call support is available outside those hours.
User accounts and access
We handle onboarding, offboarding, and permission changes, set up multi-factor authentication, and review account access periodically.
Email security
We filter phishing, spam, and malware before it reaches your staff, and we provide email encryption for messages that need protection.
Managed workstations
We maintain the computers on your plan and patch the operating system, third-party software, and critical security flaws.
Servers
We manage the servers included in your written scope, alongside the workstations and network equipment on your plan.
Monitoring
We monitor the computers on your plan and the availability of key services, review the alerts, and open a ticket when something needs attention.
Endpoint protection
The computers on your plan get endpoint detection and response (EDR), advanced threat detection, managed detection and response (MDR), and identity detection and response (ITDR).
Network management
We manage your Wi-Fi, firewall, and VLANs, along with DNS management and filtering and support for on-site storage and backup appliances.
Security awareness training
We train employees to recognize phishing and suspicious messages that ask them to open a file or enter a password.
Client portal and knowledge base
Your staff can open and follow requests in the Client portal and look up answers to common questions in its knowledge base.
Monthly health report
Each month, you receive a health report on the systems Geekland IT manages for your business.
Microsoft 365 licensing
When Microsoft 365 licensing is included in your proposal, we manage the subscriptions, seats, and renewals alongside your accounts.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace account backups
We back up the accounts covered by your proposal, giving their email and files a recovery copy outside the live service.
Local and cloud computer backups
We manage the local and cloud backups covered by your proposal, so the protected files can be recovered after data loss or a device failure.
Mobile device management
We manage company phones and tablets included in your written scope, including the policies and apps that keep those devices ready for work.
New laptop deployment
When you buy a laptop through Geekland IT, we deploy it with Intune and Autopilot so it loads your company’s settings and applications and is ready to use.
HOW SUPPORT WORKS
How we look after your IT.
We learn your setup and keep troubleshooting in your ticket history. That gives us context for support requests and a basis for planning changes.
Support for your people
Your staff request help through the Client portal, [email protected], or (612) 439-5444. Each request becomes a ticket with email updates. When a business application needs its vendor involved, we coordinate the troubleshooting.
Business-hours support runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. Emergency on-call support is available 24/7; call for an emergency.
See support hours and emergencies in the FAQComputers, network, and monitoring
We maintain managed computers and patch their operating systems and applications. Monitoring flags problems such as failed updates, disk trouble, and critical systems going offline; we review alerts and open tickets when attention is needed.
We also manage the network equipment in your agreement and send a monthly health report. Server and mobile device coverage is specified in your proposal.
Security built into the plan
Managed IT includes email filtering and encryption, security awareness training, and endpoint protection for managed computers. EDR detects suspicious activity, MDR investigates and responds to alerts, and ITDR watches for account compromise.
We plan recovery around your important information. Your proposal identifies which accounts and computers receive backup coverage.
Cybersecurity and managed detection and responseMicrosoft 365 management
We handle onboarding, offboarding, permissions, and support for the Microsoft 365 applications your employees use. Clients request account changes through the Client portal. Your proposal identifies the licensing and account backup coverage included in your plan.

Before recommending a replacement, we consider reliability, security, and compatibility with your applications. We explain what a purchase or project would fix, what it costs, and whether it can wait. Work outside the plan receives a separate proposal.
GETTING STARTED
Switching managed IT providers.
Whether you’re changing providers or bringing in managed IT for the first time, getting started follows three steps. We’ll talk through which services Geekland IT would take over and how employees would ask for help under the new plan.
Before switching, review who controls your administrator accounts, which licenses and backups will carry over, and when employees will begin using the new support channels. Your written proposal identifies the responsibilities Geekland IT will take over.
Discuss switching IT providers- 01
Understand the business.
We learn who uses email and shared files, who needs a managed computer to run business applications, and how each person asks for help today. That tells us which accounts, computers, and network equipment the plan should cover.
- 02
Review services and costs.
You’ll get a written proposal that explains the managed services and what they cost, so you can review the scope and pricing before deciding to go ahead.
- 03
Get your people set up.
Once you approve the plan, we put the support and management in place and show your staff the three ways to reach us: the Client portal, [email protected], or a phone call.
How is managed IT priced?
We review your users, computers, and IT setup before quoting a plan. To see a number first, you can answer a few quick questions and estimate your monthly cost online. Your written proposal shows the monthly cost, covered services, and any included licenses and backups. Work outside the plan receives a separate proposal.
Are Microsoft 365 licenses and backups included?
Your written proposal lists the services, licenses, and backup coverage included in your monthly price, along with the users, devices, and accounts they cover. Review that scope with us before services begin.
Do you offer managed IT services in the Twin Cities?
Yes. Geekland IT is based in Lakeville and provides managed IT services for Twin Cities businesses. We support business IT across the metro, not residential or home computer repair.
Do you provide outsourced IT support in Minneapolis and St Paul?
Yes. We're based in Lakeville, Minnesota, and support businesses in Minneapolis and Saint Paul as part of our Twin Cities coverage. We provide managed IT and outsourced IT support for small businesses with about 10-100 IT users.
Do you replace our internal IT person?
Geekland IT takes over IT support entirely if that’s what you need, or works alongside your current IT person through co-managed IT. Before work begins, we agree on which responsibilities Geekland IT handles and which stay with your IT person.
Is cybersecurity part of a managed IT plan?
Yes. Managed plans include email security and encryption, and the computers on your plan get endpoint protection with EDR, managed detection and response, and identity detection and response, with web filtering on your network. Security awareness training and backup planning are part of managed plans too.
Can we keep our current equipment?
We look at whether the equipment still runs your business applications, receives the updates it needs, and works reliably, and we explain any problem we find before recommending a replacement, so you know why a change is needed.
LET’S TALK
Need better
IT support?
Think about the last computer problem that landed on your desk. Did the employee know where to ask for help, or did the request make its way around the office first?
Tell us how support works in your office today and which IT jobs keep landing on your desk. We’ll talk through which of those jobs Geekland IT would handle under a managed plan.
