MICROSOFT 365 & CLOUD SERVICES

Microsoft 365, managed
for your business.

Geekland IT sets up and manages Microsoft 365 for your business: accounts and licenses, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, permissions, and help when an application isn’t working.

When someone leaves and their mailbox is still in a customer conversation, you decide who should handle that mail, and we change the access to match.

BEYOND THE LICENSE

There’s more to Microsoft 365
than buying licenses.

Buying a subscription gives you the software, but there are still decisions to make about who can use it, where shared information belongs, and who can change company-wide settings. Those decisions need another look as people’s responsibilities change.

We handle the administration and help staff use the applications you’ve paid for, whether they need an account change, different permissions, or help with a problem that’s interrupting their work.

01

Accounts and licensing

We create accounts, assign licenses, and adjust permissions as employees join, leave, or change roles. We match subscriptions to the applications and security features each person needs.

Your proposal identifies the Microsoft 365 subscriptions included in your plan and who they cover.

02

Email and collaboration

We help set up Outlook and shared mailboxes so the right people can handle the email they’re responsible for. We also manage collaboration settings in Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, including where documents are kept and who can work on them.

03

Security and sharing settings

We set up MFA, review administrator access, and manage who can open or share business files. Permissions change as people's responsibilities change.

Your proposal identifies the Microsoft 365 account backups included in your plan, so you can see which email and files have separate recovery coverage.

MAKE THE EVERYDAY EASIER

Fix the Microsoft 365 problems
staff keep running into.

If staff regularly need help finding a document or getting permission to use it, even a small task can become an office interruption. Those recurring questions give us a reason to look at how Microsoft 365 is set up.

Because Geekland IT manages accounts and permissions, recurring questions about who can open a document or where to request access tell us which settings need another look.

WHEN SOMEONE JOINS OR LEAVES

Set up new hires and remove old access.

We set up employee accounts with the permissions their roles require and review access when responsibilities change, even if the person keeps the same email address. When someone leaves, we remove their access and handle the account and mailbox changes involved.

Clients request these changes through the ticket form in the Client portal, and we already know who can approve changes for your business.

If you later need to check a past access change, you can look up the request in your Client portal ticket history and see what was changed.

WHEN STAFF SHARE FILES

Put shared files where your staff can find them.

A company handbook belongs somewhere everyone who needs it can find it, while someone’s unfinished meeting notes belong with their individual work files. We help establish where each kind of document should go and who should have access.

We organize documents used across the business in SharePoint and use OneDrive for individual work files, with permissions based on who needs them.

WHEN AN APPLICATION ISN’T WORKING

Get help when an app stops working.

An employee who can sign in to Teams but can’t get meeting audio working still needs support. We help with Microsoft 365 application problems, including the ones that arise after the accounts and settings are in place, so nobody in your office has to work out which setting needs changing.

When Geekland IT also manages the computer on your plan, we look at the application and the computer together, so a Teams call with no microphone gets checked on both sides.

MICROSOFT AZURE & CLOUD SYSTEMS

Make the cloud fit
your business and budget.

Microsoft 365 management covers the accounts and applications your staff use every day. Moving a system to Azure is a larger project, and before you decide, we evaluate what the move would accomplish and what it would cost to keep running afterward.

If your application depends on another office system for information or sign-in, a move needs to account for that connection. We check whether those systems can work together after a move to Azure and whether older technology needs to stay in the office.

01 / THE NEED

Review the system you want to move.

We look at who uses the application, what they need from it, and the equipment supporting it today. If it relies on another system for information or sign-in, we include that connection in the review.

Moving to Azure makes sense if you don’t want to buy and maintain hardware in your office, or if one failed piece of equipment could stop the system. Keeping it on site makes more sense if you’re concerned about what you’d keep spending to run it in the cloud, or if an older application still needs technology that isn’t suitable for a cloud move.

02 / THE PLAN

Compare costs and requirements.

We look at what needs to move with the application, how employees will sign in afterward, and whether any office equipment still needs to stay running, so you understand the work the move would involve.

We compare what it would cost to run the system in the cloud with maintaining equipment in your office and replacing it when needed, counting both the move itself and the work needed to keep the system running afterward.

03 / THE UPKEEP

Plan ongoing management.

Cloud systems still need account management, updates, and backups. The proposal identifies who handles those tasks, the support arrangements, and the backup coverage for the system after the move.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about
Microsoft 365.

Ask your own question
Can you work with our existing Microsoft 365 tenant?

Yes. We manage the accounts in the Microsoft 365 tenant your business already uses, which is where its email accounts and access settings live. We handle new accounts, offboarding, and permission reviews, including who has administrator rights.

Do we need to move everything into the cloud?

No. Using Microsoft 365 doesn’t require moving all your other systems into the cloud. An older application may still need office equipment to run, so we evaluate each system before recommending whether a move to Azure makes sense.

Can Microsoft 365 and security be managed together?

Yes. We manage Microsoft 365 accounts alongside MFA setup, email security and encryption, and endpoint protection for the computers on your plan. That connects account changes with the email and computers employees use; mobile device management for phones and tablets can be added if you need it.

How do we know which licenses to use?

We match each person's subscription to the applications and security features they need. Your proposal lists the Microsoft 365 licenses included in your plan and who they cover.
